Born and raised in NY, started learning traditionally at the age of 7. I moved to Ecuador at the age of 14 to become the first and youngest drummer to professionally play in assorted bands and record over 250 jingles and 100 albums, and accompany international artists from Spain.
I came back to the USA in 1983 to study at the "Dick Grove School Of Music" in LA, California.
Back to Ecuador in 1991 to open the first and only school for drummers at that time, the "B.E.A.T. Academy".
Again....back to the USA in 2001 to get certified at "The Drummer's Collective" in NYC. I was hired immediately to take charge of the drumset and hand drum studies for the jazz program at the "Universidad de San Francisco " in Ecuador.
I came back to the USA in 2003 to work in sales and teach at "Resurrection Drums".
Since then, for the past 10 1/2 years, recently retiring from the club scene playing for the "Remix Band" in and out of the country.
I'm also currently employed by the Florida Youth Orchestra as an instructor for the after school programs, which brought out my love for teaching children!
I'm from Lima-Peru, certified from Berklee Music College. Since my childhood I developed a passion and love for music. I began playing the guitar at 5 years old and drums at the age of 16 since then I play along with friends from high school and other bands.
I also play the electric guitar at my local church. I love teaching and sharing my musical knowledge to people. Now I am the Band Music Director at P.I.M.A where I assemble the kids and adults band programs.
